Leila D. Lewis has led a career as an administrator in public service with nearly 20 years of program development experience concentrated in the areas of volunteer management and community engagement. She received a BFA in dance from Temple University and a MFA in Dance from Hollins University in collaboration with the American Dance Festival, The Forsythe Company and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt, Germany.
 
Leila’s birth-work journey began more than 15 years ago, and is firmly rooted in a reproductive justice framework. She serves her community as a community based doula, a La Leche League Leader, a Certified RETAIN Parental Leave Coach and a Family Wholeness Advocate. Leila’s work and partnerships serve the sole purpose of ensuring all families are empowered by their natural right to make educated decisions for themselves and their families.

Leila is a Christ loving wife to an incredibly talented musician turned geomatics engineer; and a homeschooling mama to 4 strong willed, free spirited boys.
